The Process
I start by outlining the different topics I wanted to cover. I strived to design a light hearted, fun and easy to read magazine. The magazine consists of 2 parts. Feature Articles and Recipes.
I designed page layouts, bylines, headers, subheads, body copy, original Illustrations and shot most of the photography.
Three advertisements were made for this magazine and laid out throughout the pages. All ads reference previous projects of mine.
I challenged myself to fit copy effectively in large and small spaces.
The cover
The cover was designed with a fun and colourful style in mind. The cover was to look dynamic with some symmetry.
Easy to identify ingredients were chosen so we could keep the illustration style simple.
